Darn Tough continues to be my favorite sock for all applications. I hike, run, cycle, hunt white whales, and even eat sushi while wearing these socks. The cushioning is dead on on this line, good for hiking/packing under a light load, or working 8 hours on your feet on hard surfaces. They wick moisture and hold off smell very well, so my feet stay dry and healthy. The ONLY gripe I have is the same I have with all boot socks; I have large calves, abs the stress on the elastic tends to cause them to slide ever so much at the top edge. This is not unique to Darn Tough though, nor just wool socks - it happens with everything.
