I bought these to replace my wore out Danner Springfield 4.5 because they don’t make them anymore. The vicious are comparable but heavier. I wish they would bring back the Awesome Springfield!!!

I've been wearing these boots intermittently for the past month, my feet are always happy when I pull them on. Lacing up is easy and lacing system seems easy on laces.

This boot is comfortable out of the box- a good thing. I may be quibbling, but the tongue of the boot should extend a bit more on the sides, insuring more water proofness. Also, runs true to size. Overall, a well made, solid boot.

These boots are great for the outdoors or for daily work in other settings. They’re very comfortable and I really like how waterproof they are. I use them for long backpacking trips but I also enjoy wearing them around in town

Very comfortable. Glad I bought a size larger. Used whatever their sizing recommendation was. Fast shipping as well right before the holidays

I had the Vicious for a little over a month and so far everything is good. Boot fits I order my normal size. Boot needed very little break in time. I guess the insoles could be better and the boot is a little on the heavy side but nothing to bad. Also it look like the quick lace hooks are ripping into the shoe laces a little. Do not if I would get the Vicious boot again but I would try another Danner boot.

Decided to get these after wearing the ironsoft boot. Best thing is they were great out the box, no need to break them in. Used 6 days a week

This is the second pair of Danner Vicious I have bought for my husband because he finds them to be so comfortable. He wears a wide shoe and comfortable ones are hard to find. He uses one pair for yard work and the other pair he wears to his office.

Only problem I have is the shoe laces don’t stay tied tight. But great hiking boot. Very comfortable. Did a 7 mile hike the first day with no problem.

This is my second pair of these boots and they are wonderful. I am in construction and my boots are abused daily. I have used several brands and some competitors offer boots that are as comfortable out of the box, but the Danners hold up better for me. They have no break in period and are comfortable from day one until the leather finally started to crack from me not taking care of the last pair after 2 years.

My shoe size varies between 9 and 9 1/2 depending on brand. I went with 9.5 on these. They fit a little big with regular socks, but perfect with thicker hiker type socks. I've worn them 1 one month. They are stable and comfortable. I have not had the "thank goodness I can take them off" feeling after a long day.

I have always had good luck with danner boots. These came sooner than 1st promised and fit perfect, just like all my other danner boots. I have a real wide foot and danners EE always fits my foot. I'm still in the break in stage, but so far so good. I always wear them to work in the office to start with so once I hit the trails with them they are fit to my foot. To me its worth a little extra money to get a good pair of boots.

Seems like a great boot. A size 12.5 would be good. Seems like they run a little small. Danner has always been a quality boot. I have danner hunting boots also.
