great rod and reel combo for beginners as well for seasoned anglers. It has great sensitivity and a strong backbone. You will not be disappointed.

Light Touch, Incredible Combo For The Money
It's sensitive, so I'd make sure you work the brake up slowly if you're new to baitcasters. But once it's dialed it, man, it is awesome. Good length and good accuracy. I've always used Daiwa spinning reels and Abu baitcasters, but this has been a great crossover for me. Climbing the charts for my new favorite reel.
