I am incredibly impressed with this pack. The 28L size is perfect for short trips or as a dedicated carry-on. What really sets it apart is the internal organization—the mesh dividers make it so easy to pack and find everything instantly. The build quality is top-notch, the zippers are tough, and it’s very comfortable to wear. If you’re on the fence about the size or the price, just get it. It’s worth every penny.

I think this is by far the best travel pack in its size range you can get on the market. It’s got everything you could need, without any excess that ends up just getting in the way. The handles on top and side allow for versatile carrying methods, and the luggage strap can also be really handy for grabbing the bag from a hard-to-lift orientation. You wouldn’t know the waste buckle is a thing when it’s tucked away (which couldn’t be easier to do) and it really comes in handy when walking longer distances with the pack on. The luggage-style main compartment allows for the easiest of access to whatever you packed, and built in mesh dividers come in handy for managing storage distribution. The laptop sleeve is so nice, and makes for easy use of the pack as a work bag as well. Plus, who doesn’t love the beautiful Cotopaxi colors offered for this travel pack?

I used this for a long weekend trip and it was the perfect personal item for my flight. It fit under the seat too so I can bring a carry one suitcase with this too next time I travel.

The Allpa packs are hands down the best travel backpacks I’ve ever had. I traveled all over Italy with the 43 liter and now purchased the 28 liter as my personal item for longer trips or my main bag for short weekend trips. These packs have everything you need and the multi pocket/compartment style means my stuff is safe, organized , and always accessible. Love my Cotopaxi Allpa bags.

I love the comfort and durability of my 28L. It fits perfectly under the airplane seat and is a nice extra to a piece of luggage. Also used for a week in Europe with one other small bag. Also a nice soft bag for the boat.

I was excited to have an Allpa as a personal item that would fit under my airplane seat. Once I got this packed, I realized it was much too big to be compliant. It measures 20 x 14 x 9 when loosely packed. Reading the reviews, it sounds like it does fit under seats for a lot of folks, but best case it’s going to stick out which takes up precious leg room, and worst case it could result in having to check one of your bags. Equally irritating is that it doesn’t have a key clip in the front pocket. Why would this not be a standard feature for all of the bags? It’s on the 35 and the 42. What possible logic says that people needing a smaller bag wouldn’t also have keys to clip? It seems like a good bag otherwise, so I will give three stars, but I will most likely be returning it as it doesn’t fit my needs.

The allpa 28L travel backpack is really nicely designed in both style and color. When I first saw it, I immediately fell in love with it. When I started using it, the love only grew stronger. I highly recommend it. Cotopaxi got itself a new loyal customer.

Needed a backpack that could be overflow for our carrry on luggage for a 8 night trip to Italy. It was important to just have carryons as ladies traveling around Italy we needed luggage to be manageable. We also did a LOT of shopping. The 28l was the perfect size - large enough to efficiently pack all the extra shopping we did without having to check bags. It fits nicely under the seat infront but best when it’s not completely packed as on our return trip! I loved the packing cube style sections that made it efficient to pack clothes directly in there and keep everything organized. For items I needed access to on the plane, inside the bag,it’s also very easy if you just have the zippers at the top. People in other reviews say that they had to open the entire bag to access but you don’t if u just put zippers to the top. The water bottle holder is deep and feels sturdy/premium quality so hoping it’ll last a long time. Easily fits a 24oz bottle. I didn’t want to travel with any larger Overall the construction and materials feel high end that hopefully it lasts for many years to come. I was hesitant spending so much on ‘just a backpack’ but I was glad I did after using it. It was really great. Kept seeing people with Cotopaxi bags all over.
