This is overall a solid bag, sturdy and I like the various pockets. It holds a little less than I expected. I bought it with the intention of using it as a personal item for travel (although it's on the larger side, the 20 would probably be better. ) The interior structure of the bag is not the best as a personal item, since you have to open the whole thing in order to access certain pockets (I'm learning that I have to pack strategically the items I want to access easily during a flight at the top of the bag otherwise I have no hope of getting to them). However, I know many people who love the larger versions of this bag as a carry on. My one other piece of feedback would be I wish the luggage pass-through strap was horizontal, allowing the bag to rest vertically on the suitcase (or having a way to have both options. ) It rests awkwardly on my rolling suitcase now because the water bottle sleeve ends up on the bottom, creating lack of balance, and the backpack straps hang awkwardly, as well.

Love this bag. It is definitely great for a 2-3 weekend where you want to travel light and use the bag as a personal item to avoid ridiculous bag fees. Great companion piece for a carry on on a longer trip.

My last two travel backpacks have been women specific, but there is not that option with Cotopaxi. The bag itself is really nice and I like it, but wearing it is a bit uncomfortably as it squishes the girls inward. Hopefully I won’t have to wear it for long jaunts, and it’s not like I will be hiking with it. I decided to keep it, which I may regret after my next trip. If you have larger breasts, this may not be the bag for you. I am a 34c for reference.

This pack is all I needed for carryon travel. i was able to fit a water bottle on the side. I only wish there were a few places I could attach items like my pillow… I found one but a couple would be nice. The luggage pass through was tight.

Will be using the pack in a few weeks on vacation. I have the 32L already and know this one will be just right for a lighter packing trip.

I already have the 42L, just added the 28L to my collection. Awesome bags.

I was looking for a backpack that would fit under the seat in front of me while on a plane. The catch was it had to also carry certain items like a laptop and allow enough space for my feet. This backpack is perfect and traveling has become much easier. It also fits my 1. 5L Allpa hip pack in the front pocket. It’s just nice having items that make the airport grind easier. Also love love love the colors! Truly happy with this backpack.

i'm strong for my age & body (78, 5'4", 100#) but have narrow shoulders. i'll be taking a 12-hr trainride to/ fro NYC/NC for 7 days, (including a casual wedding), and needed the full-open section for my many rolled clothing items and the many other compartments for all the other vital bits. i'm already using it for the first leg of my journey (CT to nyc) which has endeared it to me, as it's comfortable on the afore-mentioned narrow shoulders. full disclosure - i have a separate, smaller bag i'll use at my seat with things i'll want to access enroute

If you’re someone who likes organization with a lot of pocket options, this one’s for you.

I bought this for my trip around Europe and Africa! I have loved it so much and the amount of stuff that you can pack that can still qualify as a personal item is incredible.

This bag is not only super cute but it’s functional! I use it as my backpack even if I have a carry-on so I can squeeze any extra clothing or just items in general onto the plane without checking a bag. It has multiple compartments and allows me to still stay organized.

The backpack is amazing! It’s so spacious and can hold so much! Wow!

I’ve traveled for years with a 25L backpack and was worried the Allpa 28L would feel too big. It doesn’t. The extra space is surprisingly useful while still feeling comfortable and carry-on friendly. I regularly pack a laptop, charger, mouse, keyboard, clothes for a long weekend, and other travel essentials, and everything fits with room to spare. The clamshell design makes packing easy, the organization is excellent, and the build quality feels solid. For me, it’s the perfect balance between capacity, comfort, and versatility for both work and travel.

I LOVE my new backpack! I am used to using a traditional student type backpack and was a little nervous about converting to this style however, on my recent trip to Costa Rica, it was just wonderful! I love the durable exterior. I love all the pockets. It was just a great purchase and I plan to buy more Cotopaxi products in the future. For sure.
