Disappointed

So disappointed in this jacket. The fit isn't like other jackets from Columbia. I have several and this one is straight in the body like a men's jacket. There's no tapering and now you don't have the next size up.

Fantastic, Lightweight, Fully Waterproof Jacket!!

This is exactly what I was looking for. It is lightweight, not too loud of a material, and so far, is completely waterproof. Another plus is that the hood is a decent size. I have been trying to find a truly waterproof jacket, not just water resistant, that didn't look/feel like a rubber coat.

What Changed??

I had the old version of this jacket, the one without mesh on the inside and it was amazing and completely waterproof and breathable. This version looks the same and is supposed to be the same OutDry material but it’s not nearly in the same ballpark of waterproof. Not sure what changed and why but please bring back the old version

Wet, Wet, Wet Inside This Jacket

This jacket was OK in the light misty drizzle we often have here in Portland, OR. It was a disaster hiking at high elevation in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Hurricane Hilary brought rain up there, the jacket didn't repel the rain at all, it just let it through. I was drenched, my down vest & wool sweater underneath totally soaked so I was not only wet but also cold. The "Out Dry" material touted as being as good as GoreTex is a poor substitute. Also, pockets delaminated from the jacket within the first two weeks.

Very Protective, But Like Being Wrapped In A Sauna

I was looking for a rain jacket that was multi-seasonal (but mainly for warmer months), and heard Columbia offered the best--specifically this style. It fit perfectly, with a tiny bit extra space for gaining weight or an extra layer, and looked lovely on me (though sadly only came in black). I tried it out on 2 walks through the city, about 30-45 minutes...both at about 75°F (~23°C), one it was slightly rainy, the other it was overcast. I felt a little chilly in the first 5-10 minutes....but after that I felting like i was roasting!!! Upon returning I discovered after removing the jacket that I was absolutely drenched!! I wasn't even walking that strenuously! For the price, I was expecting it to keep me dry, but it failed at its most basic function.
