Perfect

Purchased this jacket for a New England weekend trip. It was perfect for "April showers" and cooler weather. Love the look and fit. Thank you Columbia!!!

Versatile Jacket That Is Well Made

Great jacket! So versatile and perfect for a climate like ours where it is really cold in the morning but warms up considerably by mid day. Being able to wear the full jacket to start but end up with just the vest later on is a major plus! The jacket is stylish and so well made. I love it!

Meh.

The other reviewers hit all the key points: noisy fabric, sleeves too long, velcro at sleeves too short, vest fits odd (tight under the armpits and poofy above the shoulders). For me, the jacket was overall too big/boxy except at the lowest part of my hips... and there isn't any mechanism to cinch the waist and create a more flattering fit. The pockets are pretty great, and the white color is also nice (though it doesn't have a noticeable "sheen" like the other colors). A buyer needs to understand that the underneath item is a vest and the outer jacket sleeves are very thin. However, this makes for a pretty decent spring time (California!) rain jacket. I'm returning it since the positives don't outweigh the negatives for me.

It's Okay

Jacket looks as pictured. I must concur with another reviewer about it being "noisy", it indeed makes crinkly sounds during movement, but I don't find that overly offensive. It's funny. I was disappointed with the thinness of the sleeves. Thrilled about the length though. My daughter is 5'10 and finding items slim AND long enough is challenging. I have like 4 other Columbia jackets and I would rank this one my least favorite. If you're in the market for a loud, long and thin-sleeved jacket, then this is the one for you!! I haven't seen it on her yet because it's a gift, but I tried it on for reference. I'm 5'7, 32D, and 135 athletic build and M fit with space for more layering and the sleeves reach right to my knuckles.

Good Coat But Doesn't Fit Well

Got this as a replacement for my old Columbia coat that was no longer waterproof. However, the arms were really long so I went in store to try a smaller size of a similar style (they didn't have the exact model in store). Unfortunately, the arms were just as long on this smaller size also. They're so long they hit just above my knuckles, and get in the way when trying to do anything with my hands. I am not short so this is not a problem I have ever had - usually long sleeves are always slightly too short on me. You can also tell in the model photo that the arms have been pushed up so they don't look so long in the photo. This is confusing. For a coat at this price, it needs to fit perfectly so I'm not terribly happy with it.
