New Fave Coat - Zipper Issue

I love this coat, it is everything I wanted in a coat. I got it on sale, too. Super awesome. One thing that's an issue is the zipper. Worked fine the first two times I wore the coat. Then one day, could not unzip to separate and remove coat. Not fun. The zipper is hard to zip up and down beacuse of the way it is sealed. Here's what you can do: get some oil lubrication for it. I have a needle nose lubricator pen that works great. Just do a small bead of oil down the entire front and back length of the zipper. Move the slider up and down several times to spread that out, and you'll be fine. I was bummed thinking I was going to need to return the coat. Let's hope not. I don't want to. I love the design. We'll see! So far so good after adding oil. I think it was just too much friction with the sealed zippers before. Good luck!

Disappointing In Very Cold Temps

Bought this for a trip to Alaska. I planned to layer and the 2x had plenty of room. Even with a base layer, fleece jacket, thicker fleece jacket on, the middle of my upper back was consistently cold. The hood was a good fit over a knit hat. I did like the ends of the sleeves. The color was great.

Warm When Moving

I would love to give this 5 stars but the zipper is very temperamental and created a bit of fear that it would break. I used this jacket in the Trans-Himalaya and found the warmth great except for the arms. If I was not moving, my arms were cold. The insulation/material is thinner in the arms than the body of the coat so when standing still I was chilled. I had 3 layers on under the jacket and the diameter of the armholes was too small too allow me to add another layer.

Warm, Comfy, So Many Pockets!

This coat is very warm, yet feels light - which is exactly what I like! I don’t care for bulky coats. I love all the pockets. The main hand pockets are quite low and I do wish it wasn’t so boxy. I ordered the next size down to try because I’m wondering if it’s just too big. It is quite roomy.

Poor Quality

I bought this coat for this years winter, but come to see it is very poor quality. The textile is very thin making it feel not worthy of the brands’ name.
