    Great Layering Piece

    I really like this vest to throw on for a little added warmth. It's been great for early morning walks where I don't really need a heavy coat, but it's still cold outside. This vest keeps me warm without overheating. It's a great layering piece.

    Just What I Was Looking For!

    Wanted a new vest and found out that I really wanted a long vest! It keeps me warm running from the house to the car, to the store, back to the car and then back into the house without being bulky like regular winter coat. On super cold days it fits great under my winter coat! Love it!

    I just realized Columbia had long vests, so I bought 3: this one, the Karis Gale and the Heavenly II Long. I like the other 2 better than this one, but I'm extremely happy with all of them. The fabrics, features, components, construction and quality are all top notch. This one has the biggest, boxiest fit - but it's still fine. If I could shorten the length an inch from the shoulder seam, I'd like it better. I'm 5'5" tall, 39", 32", 41" and got a M in all three. I can really feel the omni heat fabric add toasty warmth to this one and the Karis Gale. I don't really feel it in the Heavenly because it has less insulation, but I would probably feel it more during a brisk hike or cross country ski when I'm generating more heat. I haven't used it for anything like that yet. The Karis Gale feels like it has a little more insulation than this, which is soft as a cloud, and the outer fabric is silkier. It also fits me better. I'm still extremely happy with this one. I got the dark purple color and it's my favorite color available out of the 3. I have a few other long vests from other brands and the Columbia are the nicest ones. I a long vest almost every day from fall-spring so now I'll have a little more variety, can wear them literally every day, and these are an upgrade from my older ones.

    I’m 5’11” and a size 12/14. An XL fits perfectly over a sweatshirt without being tight or unflattering. The reverse zipper is great for when you’re sitting. Warm vest, highly recommend. I have 2 in different colors.

    Not The Best Vest

    I have bought two of these best previously and love them. One for me that I loved so much and I got another for my MIL. I ordered one for another family member this year and it is absolutely not the same or similar. The previous two were nicely shaped and had drawstring cords on the inside so that you could cinch it around the waist for a more feminine look. The one I bought this time looks like a giant frump square with no drawstring cords. I will be returning this one.

    For Outside Use Only, Awkwardly Large Collar

    I bought a Columbia vest a few years ago and basically live in it all fall/winter long. I wear it inside and toss an additional down coat over it when it's really cold outside. I was looking for a replacement that was a touch longer to cover my behind when I wore leggings. This vest is really only appropriate as outerwear given its length. It's not something that I would be able to wear around the house. The collar is also far too large. When zipped up all the way, it is awkwardly tall and floats around my neck, which does not keep it warm. I returned.
