Bought this for a European trip in September. Wanted a sun hat that also looked cute and this hat is points on. It’s very comfortable, even fits over my pony tail ( pony sits at base of neck)easily. Like the strap for just in case weather. Using it as a walking hat right now and it’s very breathable. Uneasy packing it the way the picture shows as I feel like it’ll crack. Might just have to lay it down like traditional hat packing. It, I’d buy again ( bought a small) and so many colors to choose from!

Poor quality. Purchased for a trip that we just finished because it was packable. Wore the hat for less than 20 hours and only packed it twice. Very early in the trip, tahe rim lost all shape and flopped down in my face. Kept the sun out of my eyes, but had to hold the brim up to see. Later in the trip, I noticed a small hole where the layers of material was coming apart (2 inches long). Decided to pack the hat in my suitcase for the trip home, instead of wearing it. Apparently being flat in the suitcase was too much for it, because the small hole increased in size and now half the hat is coming apart and it is unusable. Very, very disappointed.

It’s not easy to find a wide brimmed hat. This one is great. Love the fit and style and overall construction. It is wide enough to protect my whole face from the sun
I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide-brim hat in Zurich (I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid-August, I leave for a month-long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal (jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. Packable, well-constructed with a must-have adjustable strap, it will literally top several quick-dry, multi-purpose, insect-shielded, Omni-Freeze Zero clothing from Columbia. In the meantime, I've worn this hat for outdoor concerts and shopping at the Farmer's Market here at home in the Midwest. My head circumference is 21.5 inches and the S/M is perfect. Thank you Columbia for getting it right, again!

I bought this in white a long time ago and absolutely loved it. This one is just as nice, great quality, and hopefully will not get as dirty as easily.

This hat is everything I hoped it would be - comfortable, functional & stylish. The strap is sturdy & the hat doesn't move even with substantial gusts on open ocean.

I bought this because I needed it last minute while traveling. It was more than I wanted to spend but it worked great. It held up to heavy wind on a boat ride.
