I gave this item an 'average' rating as I purchased it for a Christmas gift, and cannot give you the recipient's thoughts on the item. The women's purple one of similar design was greatly appreciated by the recipient. These people live three blocks from the beach and I chose them thinking of morning walks on the beach. I have purchased Columbia products for myself in the past and I know their quality. That reason is why I chose these items for my friends.

Needed a waterproof, rainproof light jacket. Wore it for one rainstorm thus far and I can confirm it kept me dry. For for a large was a little more snug under the arm than I anticipated but should leave plenty of room for a sweatshirt underneath if I need it.

I like this jacket so much,I keep it in my car, when we are not traveling. My husband needed a jacket when we were out, and loved it so much, I bought him one too. We love the zipper AND Velcro-super lightweight and waterproof.

Solid rain jacket with vents. It fits really well, leaving room for other layers.

Fits great and definitely keeps off the rain. Wore this on a moderately raining day while working out in my yard. The water beads up nicely and will Shake off. It’s definitely heavier than a windbreaker type jacket but that’s great for when the clouds roll on and there’s medium to light rain.
This jacket is just what I needed. Light weight but great for rain and wind protection.
Just what I was looking for. Comfortable and good length.

I like the color, the feel of the lining, and the fit. About ten years ago, my wife and I each bought one of these and liked them for many years. Then my wife died and I accidentally left mine on an aircraft after the funeral, so I wore my late wife’s jacket for several more years, but the gore-Tex lining eventually developed a few holes around the neck. Finally, at my new wife’s urging, she bought me a new one, blue instead of black. I like having this jacket in my wardrobe because it fits the North Carolina climate so well.

It is made of good material—suitable for casual, daily use, and for days with very heavy rain. I would definitely buy it again.
