Cost Effective Waterproof Rain Jacket For A Growing Kid
My son seems to grow out of every coat long before he has worn it out. This is the third Columbia rain jacket we have bought. All of them have stood up to a boy who loves to play in the rain. It doesn’t break the bank when I have to buy a new one because he has outgrown the last size. He likes that it is lightweight and completely waterproof.

Excellent Rain Jacket - Kid Lives In Them
My son has lived part of his life in these jackets (3 different sizes so far) given that we live in rainy Portland, OR. I've been extremely pleased with their quality in particular... they can take a lot of wear and tear over many months. Each size fit my son for at least 2 winters. They still hadn't fallen apart after that!

Good Fit But Concerned About Durability
Purchased this jacket (XS) for my 6 year old in the fall. Fit is great. Color is fun/visible and it keeps him dry, but I am concerned that the material doesn’t seem particularly durable. I noticed today that it’s already developed a small hole/tear near the hood which is worrisome as he’s probably worn it less than 60 times. I also find that it gets dirty very easily. I assume the lite color contributes to this so I’d definitely recommend a darker shade if I were to purchase this again which is sad because I love the visibility of the bright mango color.

Great Slicker!
My daughter took this on her first camping trip with Brownie Scouts- it kept her dry through the repeated squalls she endured- the price was great, too! Thanks,Dick's!
