I have been wearing this style of Chacos for over 10 years. I currently own 8 pairs which have all been resoled and rewebbed at least once, some many times. I have retired two additional pairs after many trips to rechaco to extend their life. Why the one star rating on these sandals that I love? I have wide feet. Chaco has decided not to manufacture these sandals for wide feet unless I pay the premium price for custom sandals. That is NOT RIGHT.

These sandals hurt my feet and are very uncomfortable.i tried adjusting them many times but it didn’t help.

My first pair with light colored soles, and you can definitely see the dirt. But a quick scrub with a soft brush and they’re nice and shiny again.

Fit well, get a lot of compliments. Pretty pattern.Thank you.

The fit of the shoe is great. The double strap is a bit difficult to figure out at first.
Betty
Very hard and frustrating to get the fit. The straps are crazy.

I recently retired my Chacos after 12 years — by far the best purchase I’ve ever made! Once I learned how to adjust the straps, the sandals molded perfectly to my feet and became incredibly comfortable. They carried me through countless hikes, lakes, and adventures. I’m so grateful for how well they’ve held up, and I’ll definitely be buying another pair!

Hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. I do not recommend!

These were very comfortable to wear as we walked the many miles while touring on vacation. The only thing that annoys me is the very long strap that flops around if you don’t tuck it in. I love the adjustable straps on every part of the foot, but I would love a way to remove some of the extra strap after adjusting it to fit my feet.

These are no longer my favorite, go to sandle. Lacks comfort and doesn’t fit the same as years past.

I love these sandals! They are amazing for being outdoors, especially if you are going back and forth between walking through more wet areas and then want your feet to dry off super fast. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars, instead of 5 stars, is because I am always trying to figure out the right configuration of the tension of the straps on the top part of my foot, along with the big toe. It is either I figure out the tension to have the straps not cut off my circulation on the top of my foot, but my big toe is being suffocated, or the other way around. If I can figure out the right science and combination of trying to figure it out to where my entire foot feels 100% comfortable, then I give these sandals 5 stars. I still love them overall! Hopefully this helps!
Love them
As always best shoe ever, never get blisters even from first time wearing them

took my a while to break them in, but once I did they are very comfortable. Just have to wear them out, trying to manually pull the straps is very confusing and frustrating if youre in a hurry

Very disappointed with the quality of 2 recently store-bought Chacos! Both pairs I acquired (from Al’s & Sierra) had longer inner ankle anchor straps that caused blisters immediately upon wearing for just short walks). I have been an avid Chaco fan since destroying my Birkenstocks in festival mud back in 2004. Since then, my sole summer shoe for all activities (ranging from farm work to chasing my young kids to hiking parts of the AT) has been a pair of Chaco ZX/2s. Each pair has lasted me over 10 years before the sole broke down so badly it needed replacing. Unfortunately, Chaco’s quality really appears to have plummeted (including the type of fabric used and inferior sole material - no longer Vibram). I am torn because I LIVE in my Chacos from May through October, but now I am weighing whether to invest in a custom pair (and thereby support a company who has sold out to cheaper offshore manufacturers - they still make their custom orders & do repairs in MI but all other shoes are made overseas) or try a new brand of shoe (currently considering Teva or Skechers). It is a very sad thing when a company previously so invested in quality, sustainability and comfort falls prey to pursuit of profit over its values. In doing so they leave a gaping hole where once they filled a niche for decent hiking sandals.
