Chaco Z1 - Oldy And Goody’s
I have been wearing the Choco Z1’s for 22 years. They have been re-strapped and resoled, but bought a new pair this summer for a new adventure . For me, they are my go-to in the summer, all terrain vehicles.. and all events as well. The straps are the key for me along with the rugged sole and the support. I like the fact I can just slip my foot in very easily without even tightening them down some days and wearing them just like that. I absolutely love the color. I got too and they were on sale. Woo hoo.

Regret This Purchase
I bought the adjustable strap sandals for a trip to Hawai because of the wonderful reviews. I broke them down before the trip and they felt so comfortable. But as soon as I did my first water activity they became the most uncomfortable sandal I’ve ever had. I had to stop wearing because they hurt both my feet so bad and left small cuts that caused pain when I went into the ocean. I do not recomend. Very dissapointed.

Ok
I really love this shoe but… it does not provide adequate cushion for longer walks. I bought these thinking they’d be amazing for dog walking in the summer and overall my feet hurt so much by the end of the day. I really love the look and fit. No blisters or anything. Just a bit too hard on the feet. Next time i will opt for a more cushioned version

Over 20 Years Later.....
I purchased my first pair of Chacos in Colorado over 20 years ago. This summer I bought what appeared to be the same sandal. After a few months wear I noticed that they changed in three major ways: 1. The straps do not stay in place relative to where you adjust them. 2. The fabric used irritates the skin both around the big toe and ankle areas when you get them wet. 3. The vibram sole is no longer a standard in craftsmanship, but rather costs significantly more to purchase a sandal with this material.
