I've had several pairs of chacos now including the Z classics and rapid pros and have been hiking and using them for daily use for years. They are still the only sandals I've owned that never give me blisters, not even after 10+ miles. I prefer the classics of the rapid pros; the latter has the two parts of the sole glued and this glue failed on a hot hike after owning them for a couple of years. The classics have the sturdiest design and last for years even with intense use. The Chaco sole material also has more grip than the Vibram sole, although it's still quite slippery on wet metal surfaces (watch out for manhole covers in the rain..). Basically, I hope they don't change the classic design ever. The only downside is that they do get stinky at times, but that can be fixed by throwing them in the washing machine.
