Strangely Uncomfortable
It appears these boots work for other folks, but definitely not for me. I have worn many other Chaco’s footwear like classic sandals and a pair of their Davis shoes, and these boots are a wild departure from my experiences. My feet are narrow, low volume, and have a moderate arch. These boots have a high heel and arch. This would be welcome, if that support extended to my instep. Instead it only exists along the midline of my foot. It feels like I’m standing on a sort of ridge that begins at my heel and ends abruptly near my arch but not quite far enough. Also, probably due to my narrow heel, my feet do not feel cupped securely into the back. Last, these boots are the same size as my Davis shoes, but feel too small. Overall the result is feeling really off balance, and ending up with sore feet. I hope this is helpful to folks. It’s a strange fit, for sure. Not really like any other footwear I’ve tried.
