Pros: Very solid construction, the toes and heels are reinforced with extra thick material that makes these two high-wear areas more resilient (like resting your board on lift rides or heel wear from normal riding). The inner-liner is easily the best holding liner I've ever used - works excellent for people with smaller calves like me. As far as heel hold? ZERO. The base of the heel has never left the sole whenever I've cranked these down. The Vibram soles are extremely grippy, and the additional rubber spikes on the toe provide a little extra hold in slippery conditions. As an added bonus, the negative flex built into this boot relieves a ton of pressure from the rear of your calf while skinning.
Cons: The boot isn't as "low-profile" as Burton likes to claim on their line of boots. They are bulkier than my K2s, but it isn't any inconvenience.
