I generally average 80 miles a week, w 2 days that are workouts. For the last couple of years I’ve used the Hyperion Tempo, the original version.
Now that that’s gone I switched to this new version and it’s been ok.
The pros- it has a wider toe box which I can feel is better for my MNeuroma.
It’s still light- and I can still run my full 80 miles a week in them - minus the track when I switch to flats.
The cons: the stack high and extra foam create a bounce that my tendons don’t like, and also don’t keep my feet strong. The original version w lower stack height gave me more connection w the ground- and I have run my fastest times in low stack height shoes: I think they are better for your tendons.
I don’t like the bounce and excess foam these have. It’s taken me a couple of months to find a new stride to work with that.
Bottom line they are the ONLY shoe I can run in and I’m grateful for that. The ghost, anything with excess cushion kills my neuroma in the pad. With these and any other lightweight non cushioned shoe - I don’t even know the pinched nerve is there. So grateful is an understatement.
