What Took So Long???
Why did this take so long??? Years ago you could find a number of similar shoes that actually allowed your foot (and all its muscles) to work with you. The Brooks PureFlow was a perfect example. Then someone determined we all needed to be running on thick foam slabs plus added plates to making it even worse (great for destroying your knees). Felt like I was fighting with all these "new and improved" shoes. Might be great if I was a world class runner, but for most people... I'm still running in my 70s, these shoes will help me continue as long as I can.

Reminiscent Of The Original Glycerins
I had given up on the Glycerin line because of feature changes, and decreasing my enjoyment of running. Honestly, it was maddening because l had bought that line for 15 yrs. Then l was browsing for running shoes and saw the new Glycerin Flex. Wow! They're like the original Glycerins! I love them. Toe box isn't too wide or narrow for my medium foot. Well ventilated fabric so my feet don't swell. The soles are indeed flexible and l swear the inner sole feels like my foot is experiencing tiny bubble air pockets. Speaking of that, the shoes are lighter than air. I got the blue version. I'd actually like a brighter blue or a soft green but it's not that big of a deal as long as they aren't purple. Two downsides. Who thought it was a good idea to design slots for shoelaces with round tips? Nearly impossible to remove the shoelaces without a fight. Secondly, the tongue is a weird fail. Down near my toes, the sides of the tongue roll under. I have to loosen at least 3 notches and very carefully put my foot in so as not to let the tongue roll. Crazy annoying. Hence, 4 stars instead of five. I've been thinking of returning and reordering, but ugh.
