I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. These are a really unique shoe option. I’ve had older iterations of the Glycerin and the new flex component offers some unique features. While not a true longer distance running shoe, I’ve worn them for 2ish mile tempo runs and was happy. I’m a physical therapist and these are fantastic to wear all day in the clinic. It may not be clear from the pic, but the space that is provided toward the forefoot of the shoe really offers more flexibility without sacrificing support. I love that I can kneel with my toes tucked as the shoe easily bends to allow this. I’d say it’s a fantastic daily wear shoe that transitions easily to the gym. Great for forward/backward plyometric movements but lateral feels a bit unstable. The toe box is comfortable- I sometimes order wide but regular is comfortable for me. Nice support to the heel portion on the upper of the shoe and tongue is not annoying or super mobile. Initially, there is a lateral support to the rear foot that takes a bit of getting used to- I’d say that more accommodates the regular to slight pronator and may feel odd for the supinator population. Overall, I’d recommend this shoe for most people- easy to wear every day/all day.

Helluva Shoe!

The upper material of the shoe contours like a glove around my foot but never feels tight. The cushioning is so squishy and springy that I loved ploy landings while wearing these. I could tell that they had a strong stability function to keep my foot neutrally aligned to protect all of my joints. This shoe is a winner! They eat runs, jumps, burpees, and move easily no matter what I do.

Glycerin Flex 5 Stars All Around

I received a pair of the new Glycerin Flex to wear test. I usually wear a size 8.5 in Brooks shoes and these fit true to size. My first reaction to the shoes was that they looked strange with all the flex grooves on the bottom. Once I had the shoes on and felt the shoes flexibility any objection to the look was overcome. I haven’t worn a shoe like this before. The amount of cushion is perfect for me as I usually run in well cushioned shoes for training and lighter ones for racing. I did several easy runs in the shoes and enjoyed how my foot was able to flex and move through their range of motion. I also used the shoes for some gym workouts and found them to be stable enough for some light leg work. I received the white/gum/black colorway, love that it looks like a lifestyle shoe. It will be a great addition to my shoe lineup!

Great Cross Training Shoe

I have been using the shoes for the past three weeks. I’ve used them for running, training at the gym and so my full time job at a hospital lab. First The fit and comfort: I’m a women’s size 8 regular width and that’s what I got. Fits great. I can flex my foot and toes and have enough room however I have a great lock down. This is in part to the upper material. It’s breathable, light and flexible . If you are familiar with Brooks stealth fit line, it is very similar. It has a collar that is snug at the ankle which I love. The flexibility and movement of the shoe is really nice. I was able to do all kinds of activities such as running, squats dead lifts and side to side movements with ease in the shoe. The support and stability is good. I felt my ankle, knee and hip alignment were very good while in the shoes and doing activities. Also I was able to work an 8 hour day at the hospital and then go lift weights at the gym and feel very supported and kept my feet from being fatigued. There is a bouncy cushion that is not too soft and helps to keep you feel energized. I was given this shoe free of charge for a. Honest review

Innovative Option From Brooks

Shoutout to Brooks and ExpertVoice for the opportunity to test the all new Glycerin Flex for free! I’ve been intrigued and excited since I first heard about the Glycerin Flex being described as an innovative mashup of max cushion with ground feel (think the former Pure line + Aurora BL shoe). I’ve been a big fan of minimalist, and low drop running shoes since reading Born to Run several years ago, and the Glycerin Flex delivers that perfect mashup, and felt absolutely amazing. I’ve used this lightweight, lower drop (6mm) shoe for running on pavement outdoors, and cross-training including indoor/outdoor bootcamp classes, everyday use, and this is a fantastic option if you want to add a versatile shoe to your rotation! The step-in feel was great, and they fit true-to-size. During workouts and runs, the DNA Tuned midsole cushioning felt springy and responsive, and the knit upper looks plush, is breathable, supportive and hugged my foot perfectly. Even after using this shoe for various activities, there’s little to no visible wear, and they’ve stayed surprisingly white. The Glycerin Flex has a unique decoupled heel, and deep flex grooves throughout the forefoot allowing for natural, smooth transitions on the run. Highly recommend trying this shoe if you’re looking to add a unique, comfortable and innovative option to your rotation! I already ordered a second pair in a cute blue and pink color.
