I’ve worn brooks ghost for 14 years and I too purchased the ghost 17 and they are so uncomfortable. I continue to get blisters and my feet hurt. They are tight in the toes. I should have returned them. Loved the brooks 15 and my 16. I even went back to them and they have no traction and almost have holes in the bottom and they are still more comfortable than my 17s.

I have been a long time Ghost fan, however am very disappointed with the 17s. An area at the top of the laces is hard/sharp and broke my skin while running.

These are the worst shoes ever! They are so uncomfortable and hurt my feet terribly! Do not buy them!

I did not like the tab at the back. It made the shoe feel less secure. I returned this pair of shoes.

Brooks you ruined my favorite running shoes. I've been wearing the ghost for years and this version is awful. The new flared heel does hold your foot in place. The new upper and tongue shaped is uncomfortable pinches, rubs. The change in heel to toe drop is noticeable. After 7 years in the Ghost, I am now going to look for a new brand because the Brooks Ghost is now unbearable.
