Great Comeback!

The Cascadia is back!!! I ran in Cascadia for years, since their inception. However, due to the changes over the past several years, particularly the stiffness and lack of ground feel, I had to find a different shoe. I read so many reviews raving about the 19 I decided to give them a try again, and boy did they deliver. They are smooth and easy to roll through. The cushion is forgiving but not overly soft or marshmallowy. The faster I ran the better they felt. The tongue is comfortable but not too thick. I am REALLY happy I tried them! changed too much,

Not As Good As Previous Iterations

The Cascadia 19 is my fourth iteration of Cascadia trail runners from Brooks. The previous pairs saw me through preparation for 800km of the Camino De Santiago, and across Northern Spain. Could not recommend the Cascadia 16, 17 and 18 enough. However, I am a wide fit and the new version feels less wide and not quite as roomy in the toe box. Laces are not as good, seem thinner and cheaper. I have yet to give them a thorough workout on the mountain trails as I feel my Cascadia 18 are more comfortable and so will stick with those for now.

Good Looking, Fit Didn't Work For Me.

I was so hopeful that the Cascadia would work for the icy/snowly paved trails in my area. The tread looked promising, but the fit didn't work for me. I suponate slightly and the outside edge of the shoe felt uncomfortable to me. I ended up returning these.

Great For Trail Running

I've been on the hunt for a trail running shoe and was stoked to finally find these - they are exactly what I needed. I normally wear Adrenalines for road running and these have a similar fit for me.
