Just got this on sale. It was cheap enough I'm not sure it's worth the trouble of returning.
The seam is a massive design flaw. It is extremely annoying and distracting just walking around. The fact there's only one review criticizing the seam makes me suspicious, honestly. I can only give it 3 stars because I haven't ran in them yet, but I'm 90% certain that seam will chafe on a long run.
Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to do this? How can a company built on running put out a product like this? This is such a poor experience it's put me off to buying Brooks gear in the future. If you can't figure out putting a fat nearly 1/4" deep seam on the exact spot the pant rides up your leg, it shows a real lack of authenticity as a running company and terrible decision making.
I do like the material, fits okay, just blows my mind it's ruined with such a stupid idea. If I run in it, and it's not noticeable I'll rephrase things a bit to not sound so harsh, but they're annoying me right now as I type.
