Glycerin Max 2 Running Shoes
This was my first time trying Brooks. I am a causal runner, mainly on the treadmill at the gym but occasionally in the neighborhood. My typical running shoes are trainers that I pick up on sale. This was my first set of dedicated running shoes. They did not disappoint. The fit was perfect for the size I ordered. Running was comfortable and felt natural with my foot. With other shoes I get shin splint at times but not with these. Very happy with my purchase.

Like Stepping On A Pillow But Take Some Getting Used To
I bought these shoes the day after Christmas. Prior to this pair, I walked/ran in a pair of Glycerin 21 running shoes, after which I swore I'd only wear Brooks moving forward. This pair, so far, has not disappointed. The shoes are high quality; I especially like the inner heel. So many of my shoes (other than Brooks) tear on the inner heel, making them highly uncomfortable and often unwearable for walking/running. My Glycerin 21 shoes still have not torn on the inner heel (2 years). These Glycerin Max 2 running shoes seem to be constructed at the heel in the same way. Stepping while in these new shoes is incredibly comfortable...literally like taking steps on a pillow. Extremely comfortable, too, walking and running on a treadmill; however, because they sit so high, my body (posture) is really having to get used to them. Slowly, over several weeks, I am adjusting and am very happy with this purchase.

Another Winner
Probably my favorite running shoe yet, I had 3 pairs of the first gen Glycerin Max. As others mentioned, this new iteration has denser foam and is more responsive and way less mushy than the first one. Build quality is outstanding I continue to think Brooks is one of the most durable brands. It's also a great-looking shoe besides the boomer color ways. Which leads me into this pitch: Brooks, I love everything about your shoe except for the dated color ways - you're missing a huge market segment because of this, younger people are choosing New Balance simply because their designs are fresher. Functionally Brooks is a superior shoe - fresh, non-old people color ways would do your brand infinite justice.
