I bought these to wear for myself as an adult. I have small feet and the children's sizes are significantly less expensive than the adult ones. These also have a lower temperature rating than the adult sizes for keeping your feet warmer. I have had a few times where the snow was deep enough it got into the holes on the sides used to help pull up the boot. As an adult, I would prefer those not be there. However, for a small child who may need help getting dressed, they seem to make sense. I have walked long distances in them pretty comfortably. I like that they can be tightened, but fit snug enough to use as a slip on boot. My only complaint is that they are not attractive for an adult woman (Again, they are designed for kids!) and that the tread on the bottom could be a little meatier. I would and have recommended them to others.
