Great First Hiking Poles
I used these on a 7.5 mile hike with 3400 feet of elevation gain -- it was constantly up and down -- and they were great. Some of the adjustment clasps were difficult to close, but once I wrangled them, the poles stayed put and didn't shrink or expand without my consent. (I've borrowed poles that shrank when I leaned on them.) These are the first hiking poles I've owned, and I'm excited to get more use out of them.

Nice… I Guess.
I should have payed more attention when I ordered them. I’m a big guy (6’-4” 270lbs.) They’re not as long as I probably need. On the plus side, they do seem to be strong. We’ll find out when deer season gets here.

Rehab Tool
I never have used hiking poles before but decided to get them in place of ski poles to help me with walking and snowshoeing during my knee replacement rehab. The height adjustment and comfortable grip was a huge ergonomic improvement over the ski poles. They work so well that I will start using them regularly during my outdoor activities.

Weight Penalty Offset By Pole Strength In Tent Or Tarp
Using these as poles with a tarp. Holding up well in gusts and under tension.

Great Quality
Great quality but octane color is red (I expected and thought they were orange).
