I’ve been on a mad hunt for the perfect backpack—comfortable straps, padded backing, water bottle compartment, sunglasses compartment, laptop compartment, pockets for organization, professional look (but not black and boring), doesn’t get dirty ridiculously easy, a handle that doesn’t whack my neck when I walk, good quality & quiet zippers, excess strap tie back, big enough (to carry a notebook, 1” binder, a textbook, a light jacket, some snacks, a 13” laptop, a 24oz water bottle, and a few other small essentials)—yes, I’m being picky about it! I want something that I can use for grad school, short trips, and someday for a diaper bag. And yes, this backpack checks all these boxes, buuuut it’s simply too big for my 5’3” frame. It’s seriously been a struggle, and I’m very sick of purchasing and returning backpacks, but the hunt continues… The materials are nice on the inside and out—I love the stretch mesh pockets on the inside. This pack doesn’t hurt my back, as many others have while carrying a heavy load. If you’re tall and want a spacious bag, then this is perfect for you. Bellroy is an expensive brand, yes, but that’s just the way it is nowadays if you want anything that’s decent quality. Definitely have a pal measure how long your back is and compare that to the dimensions of this pack and any others your looking at.
