I have had 4 pair of these boots and they stand up to significantly wear and tear! You will not go wrong with Asolo they are a fantastic company that makes superior products.

Great boot my third pair. I would definitely recommend. Excellent for hiking and or just leisurely walking about!!The Gore-Tex installation is great for damp and cold evenings.

When you find a pair that fits you as if it was made for you. You stick with them. Usually, brands tweak things over the years so when you need a new paired, you’re screwed! These are a classic. The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn’t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Should I have replaced them awhile ago - I did with the charcoal version. But kept these in my closet as a remembrance of my first pair of hikers that took me through the PCT AT. They wear well, almost zero break in, and the scars just as character. Thanks Asolo for a great boot and for keeping a classic, an unchanged classic.

It is hard to find a wide boot and this one does not disappoint; all I can say is these boots are well worth the money. No break in period, ready to go straight from the box.

I got these boots before a backpacking trip. Only had a couple weeks to break them in and was time to go. No blisters and dry feet! Was a mucky hike too! Def recommend

I’ve bought these boots about five times now, over the past fifteen years, and they always come through for me. The fit is great, right out of the box, and being an avid hiker, rock climber, and stone mason, I definitely put them to the test. I’m not easy on my footwear, and these boots hold up better than any other boots I’ve had. If you’re looking for boots as tough as you are, these are for you!

Bought these boots for an upcoming Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, knowing that I needed sturdy and lasting boots for the 500 mile trek. Been testing them in warm temperature weather for over a month now and breaking in nicely over a stepped amount of use, which was recommended. Looking forward to an amazing experience with these bulldozers.

It’s been along time since I had a solo shoes and my feet have changed over that time. It was great to be back in a solos. I always thought just right now that I can get into a pair that is wide. I like the brown ones, but they didn’t have those in wide. Other than the color everything is really working great

After receiving the Asolo Men's Fugitive GTX boots a couple of weeks ago, here are my first impressions after a couple of uses: 1) Quality of boot (fit & finish) is definitely all there. 2) Boots run on the narrow side. I wear a 9.5 and purchased a size 10. Probably should have gone to a 10.5, to allow for various sock weights. As it is, I will need to stay with light-medium weight socks. 3) Boot foot-bed liner is pretty "hard". I removed and added my previous boots "cushioned gel" liner, which added greatly to boots overall comfort. This addition did slightly affect interior volume, however not enough to keep me from doing. 4) Boots don't seem to need a break-in period. After two 2-1/2 mile hikes, no hot spots or pressure points that concern me. 5) Have noticed what I would consider a "fair amount" of sediment (sand/gravel) that makes it's way into the back of the boot, from dirt being kicked up from normal walking strides. I'll have to keep an eye on this on longer hikes and report back. Looking forward to my Yosemite back-country trip coming up mid-July. Will report back then

I bought these 20 years ago, and eventually wore that pair out. 20 years later they are still the same boot. Amazing build quality and worth every penny.

I purchased these a month ago for work. I walk 5-10 miles a day. I work on gravel, pavement and mud occasionally. So far these boots have held up great and I will currently say I'd purchase them again. Hopefully feel that way after 1 year of use.

Once again Asolo boots were a great choice. This is my third pair over 15 years. I tried a pair of Keen less than 2 years ago and they are falling apart. I will continue to purchase Asolo boots.

I had an old pair of Asolo FSN 95 GTX that were my favorite boots. When the sole fell apart and could not be repaired I was bummed. The search started for a new pair of hiking boots. I tried on multiple brands and none of them felt as good a the FSN 95. Until I tried on the Fugitive GTX, they felt exactly like my old pair!! I can’t wait until they are completely broken in.

A little while into owning these and they're really proving to break in to be a comfy boot for my daily work and for hiking hilly and mountainous trails around TN. Keeps my feet dry and most importantly warm. Definitely was surprised when my regular thick wool socks I wore with my old kickers started to feel warmer than I remember, now the old "summer" socks are plenty warm for winter around here.

I almost feel stupid for writing a review for these boots. This is my 5th pair in 20 years. They are without a doubt the best boots I have ever owned. I put hundreds of miles in on the Appalachian trail and I do everything to destroy them and they won’t give up the ghost. I wear the soles out until there are hardly any lugs, and the upper stays strong. I keep an old worn out pair for working and buy a new pair for kicking around.
