Not A Fast Daily Trainer
I was really excited to try the ASICS Novablast 5 after hearing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience hasn’t matched the expectations. After several runs, including a recent 5-mile session, I’ve consistently felt discomfort in both my mid-foot and fore-foot—something I’ve never experienced with my usual daily trainer, the Adidas Evo SL. While the shoe looks great and feels well-built, it runs surprisingly slow for a daily trainer. The cushioning doesn’t provide the responsive feel I was hoping for, and instead of feeling energetic or supported, I found myself working harder to maintain my normal pace. I’ve tried adjusting lacing and testing the shoes on different surfaces, but the discomfort has persisted. I really wanted these to work, especially given ASICS’ strong reputation for comfort and performance.

Fell Apart After Just A Little Over Two Weeks.
My husband bought these shoes a little over two weeks ago, and the quality has been really disappointing. He was so excited at first — the reviews were great, the shoes felt super light, and he even said they might become his new favorite pair. But that didn’t last long. As you can see in the photo, the material tore apart after just 2 weeks and 3 days of normal use. For the price, this kind of durability is unacceptable. Definitely not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend these.
