Great Jacket

i really like my new Thorium jacket. it's very warm and there are lots of pockets for all the stuff i need to carry. i love the fit of the hood, and the arms are a tad long, which is a great feature. the hips are a bit snug, which is why i only gave it four stars. the description mentioned the jacket fit larger than the previous edition so i was surprised at the snugness. i would have preferred a little bit more room. i love the jacket though and will get lots of use out of it. i'd recommend it for sure but would suggest you try one on in person before ordering online.

Ok But.

Good but you change the interior of pockets. Not soft anymore. Could be more adjustments. The mecanism at the hoody just broke at the first pull.

Winter “All Rounder” Coat

Love the fit, love the material. I was looking for a coat that could be my “all-rounder” for the west coast winter and this is it.

Warm, Excellent Quality, And Great Fit

Excellent Fit

Love this jacket, this is my 3rd. Not too heavy and bulky, like the extra length on the back. Worked in Antartica and will be tested at the Arctic Circle. Easy to pack, plenty warm.

Too Many Irritants.

The length is good, covers my butt. Sizing is good, generous. Warmth is good. Here's what I don't like: First thing: Fabric is see through. It is not white. Looks like camo. Can be a style, if that's what you're going for. But definitely not white. Only the shoulders and cuffs are really white. I think they doubled on the material in these spots. Second thing: I don't like that the logo is not on the chest anymore (but it still is on the men's version??). Just put the logo back where it was! Not on the sleeve, not on the cuff, not on the hood - on the chest!! Third thing: collar definitely is an irritant. You can't not zip it up, it doesn't lay down properly. Honestly I think I'll return for these reasons.

Suit Of Armor.

Brought this piece for my lady and she is absolutely pleased with it. As a stand alone she says it’s great, coupled with the kyanite hoody. It’s comparable to a suit of armor. Warmth, stand alone in 25-30 degree Fahrenheit with a windchill and a real feel of 20 does the trick just fine. We’re both pleasantly surprised by its pack ability. Only complaint is the hood, but to be honest it just may be knit picking at that point. She said and I quote “I wish the hood and the collar wasn’t attached.” Other than that great jacket. Maybe the only down you would want to own outside the Cerium.

High Recommend!

It’s so light and warm good for walking around in the city or hiking. Love it!

Perfect All Around Puffy

I’ve had this jacket for a couple weeks now, but it has been put to the test in our cold, dry snowy climate. The length is simply perfect for me- at 5’4” and 125lbs, the small just covers my heiny, which is fabulous. It somehow fits close to the body while still having room for layers. I purchased the bitters color, which is a lovely dark neutral alternative to black and goes with nearly everything. The hood is big, as others have mentioned, but I LOVE it. It slides right over a hat. The neck does come up high but I also love that- it’s a good windblock (although a little fleece patch would have been welcome. Oh well. Not quite enough to take off a whole star). The jacket sheds light snow and the material seems durable- that’s actually why I purchased it- to replace a similar lightweight puffy that I was destroying. I have high hopes that this one will hold up to my abuses. I also love the two way zipper at the bottom. Overall this is a lovely all around jacket that I will use daily in our mountain town and pack as an outer layer on cold tours. It seems like it can do it all.

Good Jacket But...

It is a warm jacket and doesn't shed like others of a similar categories do. It has stronger fabric. The jacket has a bit larger fill sections which makes it look a bit saggy and puffier than earlier version. The zipper end has already started to get stuck after a few wearing which I hope the store can fix it.

Great Jacket For Everyday Use!

I’m very happy with the jacket. It’s super warm and lightweight. This jacket is good for city with minimal activities.

Good Fit

Good basic jacket. I am 5’1”, hourglass shape and pleased the jacket cut adapts well, being a bit looser than some of the slimmer fit models. It’s well made, comfortable and has been warm enough unlayered-for the lowest temperature range experienced to date of 32 degrees. If the jacket had a dual direction zipper-it would be a 5 star.

Just Not Flattering On My Body Type

Bought this and the Thorium Jacket to compare. I much preferred the cropped look of the Jacket so this got sent back. This jacket felt very long on me (5’4 but I do have short legs and a long torso) so it just wasn’t flattering on my body type.

Missleading Size Guide

My chest is 32" and waist 27. I followed the size guide and purchased a size small. It turns out small is too big for me. I need to size down to at least xs. I got a deal during Black Friday but arcteryx doesn’t offer exchange. Very disappointed.

Great Jacket

Really happy with this jacket and glad I got the longer length version. Colour is great, more interesting than just black. It comes up relatively big especially in relation to sizing chart.
