I LOVE this jacket. I use it touring, climbing, hiking, mountain biking. It's water resistant, water beads up, and is great for when it's snowing lightly on the uphill or sprinkling on a hike. Super lightweight and easy to throw in a pack as a just incase layer for mountain tops. also love that the hood has a small brim. I use this almost every day in the mountains. Super breathable too with the side panels under arms and love that the cuffs aren't tight so I can easily access my watch.

Thinner than previous iterations of the Atom SL but certainly a good addition to quiver. The forearm material on the underside is very thin so I'm not sure I'd want to use this on a rock or rough surfaces but as far as general wear, hiking and other non contact mountain adventures this is excellent. The perfect shoulder season jacket to grab when running out the door. The new lightweight side mesh panels are excellent and feel sturdy. For reference the fit is just slightly loose yet fitted. Wearing a size medium, 5'6" 150lbs athletic build. Please bring back an ATOM SL vest in this material!

No chest pocket. So if you’re wearing a pack of vest the only pockets available are practically useless. This is a common thing on Arc’teryx ‘women’s’ items. Somehow I missed that in the pictures and was excited to get a piece this weight but will be returning it now.

I have two Atom Vests, which I love, so I thought I'd try the hoody. The sleeves were too long! If the elastic at the end of the sleeves went all the way around, I could make it work. But the elastic only went half way around, so there was no getting the sleeve ends out of the way. I had to return it. Another solution would be for Arcteryx to start carrying Petite sizes for women. Please consider it! That would make me soooo happy!

My favorite jacket by far. I use it touring on the uphill, on cold days hiking in the fall, paddling when the air is crisp, mountain biking and long days on the road bike going over mountain passes. I also get a lot of compliments on the look of this jacket. One thing I love is when I'm using my watch for navigation this style of sleeve allows for the watch to be easily accessible. I wish the other Atom jackets had the same sleeve, as I would definitely buy them but the tightness around the wrist of the other Atom jackets makes it frustratingly impossible to use a watch. Super light weight and water resistant too! For reference I'm 5'8" 128lbs with small bust and it fits me perfectly.

I had an older version of this and I love the updates. The fabric is stretchier and while still as warm, it has fewer seams and is somehow less bulky. This jacket stretches and moves really well (which is nice for someone with hips and for arm movements, especially when climbing). This lightweight hoody is my year-round go-to. In the summer, it's easy to throw on for a cold evening and in the colder seasons it's a great layer, especially for skinning. I have broad shoulders and generally wear a small in Arc'teryx jackets.

Hands down my year-round favorite insulation layer! I always reach for this, especially on shoulder-season adventures. It's super breathable, dries fast and packs small enough to fit in my mtb hip pack or running vest. I've been repping the anorak version of this for the last few years and love it even more than the original Atom!

A good lightweight mid layer overall. The fit around the torso is a bit tight compared to the Proton Hoody.

This jacket. is the perfect mid layer. The fabric is warm but also breathable and light weight. Plus I love a hood

Product is lighter than expected therefore was not as warm as expected. Size did not run true.

Nice looking. Very lightweight and packable. Fits large. I would give it 5 stars but the price is extremely high.

This is my third Atom Hoody - not because they wear out ... EVER ... but it is my go to year around. Living in BC Canada layers are essential in the Winter when skiing and trekking. The fabric is light, flexible, the perfect layer of warmth and durable for all conditions. Transitioning to summer in Colorado, this is also my go to jacket. When I get warm, this amazingly stuffs down into a small waist pack. I'm not sure how all this is possible with one perfect jacket. The fit is slim, so I don't feel frumpy either. I did size up to a Medium and am typically a Small. Love the hood for wind and light precip.

The Atom Hoody has been my go-to mid insulating layer for nearly all of my alpine climbing endeavors over the past few years. The new Atom SL is gradually becoming my new favorite, and I find myself reaching for it more and more, particularly on warmer and/or sunnier days in the mountains when I know I won't require as much insulation on the uphill. This hoody has been especially perfect for long multi-pitch rock routes where I'm trying to carry a lot less and need a layer that is easily packable but also easy to climb and move in. This layer used to be the Squamish Hoody for me, but I love that the Atom SL is quite a bit warmer while still being extremely lightweight! Very excited to get even more use out of this hoody this summer for both guiding and personal climbing.

Really light but warm and I love the fit and feel of the fabric. True to size.
