I ordered this Atom Hoody to replace my 2013 Atom Hoody. Quite the difference! The shoulder and arm felts huge, very puffy and looked huge on me. And I am typically looking for more room in the shoulders area from muscle. I tried on the XS at a retailer nearby, while that one looked better it was for sure too tight in the chest. Disappointed. The functionality was there for sure, it was a great looking jacket and the material was nice. Just didn’t do it for me this time around unfortunately.

Perfect For Chillier Temperatures
Excellent insulated hoody that’s just right for the cooler fall temperatures. The side panels do not pill - an improvement over prior versions of the Atom. It has also has a more relaxed fit which is better for layering, although not quite as flattering as they used to be.

Great All Arounder!
Excellent all around jacket! Durable, comfortable, and functional. Great medium weight/warmth layer for climbing, hiking, and casual wear while also retaining some breathability. Internal chest pocket is nice for phone or chapstick. Hood fits over a helmet or can cinch down to keep it on your head in the wind. Durable fabric that holds up well over time.

Reliable Allrounder
The Arc’teryx Atom Hoody is one of those pieces of gear that quickly proves its worth once you start using it. Lightweight, versatile, and surprisingly warm for its weight, it has become a staple in my layering system. Pros: Lightweight, versatile, excellent balance of warmth/breathability, high-quality build. Cons: Pricey, not fully waterproof.
