I thought buying this was a bit crazy. I took a while to decide. As soon as I tried on this coat, I had to have it. Why? Fit. For me, 5’8 170, true to size. I wear large in everything, the fit was exactly what I wanted. No restrictions in movements. Warmth. Live in DC area, today’s it’s 22 degrees and strong winds. Was toasty warm on a 3 mile walk, it’s really windproof. Hood is really good and enough pockets for me. I’m really a bit surprised how much I love this coat. Yes, the zipper is a bit challenging to employ, and it really attracts lint and pet fur. Perhaps they have a suggestion as to this.

This could've been perfect. The styling, warmth, length, and fabric are all outstanding, but the fit around the stomach and waist is abysmal. It feels like a tent - way too much room. They could've made it a lot sleeker and more trim without sacrificing ability to layer. Highly recommend they adjust the fit for this in future re-designs.

This is my "Ride or Die" insulated jacket. You can wear a T-shirt under this when it's below zero! Plus it's Gore-tex. Perfect.

First time buying a arcteryx coat and was surprise on the quality of the jacket. I live in Chicago and it tends to get very cold these couple months. So far the Therme jacket has live up to my expectations. During very low temps with an atom sl as a mid layer and a base layer kept me very warm from moving from one place to another without restrictions. I also wore the jacket during a windy and rainy day and jacket handle it with no issues. I got a size M, I'm 190, 5'8 and fits well with enough room for a mid layer. Will recommend to anyone who lives in the city is clean and minimal design language makes it wearable everyday

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. Initially got it for a trip to Prague, and I’m glad I did. I’m not sure why anyone would give this jacket less than 5 stars. I’m a medium build guy, 5’9” and weigh 185 lb. I got the size medium and it fits perfectly. This jacket is so warm. I don’t even need to layer this for my purposes. I live in Maryland and I can go out in a t shirt with this jacket on in 20 degree weather and be cozy (granted I do wear insulated boots with this). I don’t regularly go snowboarding/skiing though. I also love the functionality of the double zipper. Overall very nice jacket that is comfortable and practical for daily use.

The fit of this parka is terrible. I am a large in every other arcteryx product but this large is so big and fits horribly. The bottom of the jacket flares out and lacks so many features commonly found in other parkas of this price. No internal cinch around the waist. Only one button at the bottom and the top of the storm flap so the middle part will be blown around when there’s wind. I can feel the cold air coming from the bottom of the parka. I tried on the medium which was way too tight around the chest/armpit area. Overall extremely disappointed with this parka one of the worst arc products I’ve purchased.

This is a very good jacket , and it's well made. I don't understand the reviews that say it doesn't feel like a premium jacket because it does. It feels like a down parka with a gore tex shell and a good one at that. For me, it's missing a few things that would make it very good. The hood, although excellent, has a large opening which means you need to wear a neck gaiter otherwise you funnel cold air at your neck. It's also not the warmest down parka, the down layer feels lighter than some competing brands. I'd say -5C would be the comfort limit. Lastly, it's a very boxy fit so if it's tight on the chest you have too much room around the waist.

I wear a Medium in everything. 5'10, 175lbs. 31.5" waist. I ordered a Medium sized Therme parka and it is comical how large a Medium is. I would say it fits like an XL+. If I had a giant beer belly, it would still be roomy in the midsection. Not sure what happened here with the sizing on this but even if I layered this with another down jacket underneath, it still would be gigantic and SO much room in the midsection. I had to return the parka. The zipper also is weird and hard to get started.

I’d read a lot of complaints about the zipper on this coat and wasn’t sure what people meant until mine arrived. The issue is that the zipper teeth sit almost flush with the coat fabric, with no extra fabric extension (usually about half an inch) that makes zippers easier to grip and pull. Without that buffer, the zipper is a bit harder to grab and start. In the photos, the green coat shows the Arc’teryx parka zipper, while the black coat shows a standard zipper for comparison. It’s a minor inconvenience that Arc’teryx could easily improve based on the feedback, but overall, the coat itself is excellent.

Arcteryx used to fit me perfectly. Now, the sizing is designed to accommodate large bellies. The difference between sizing is now absurd. L to XL is a completely different design. L, I can get a t-shirt, maybe a sweater on underneath and it's very tight. XL is huge belly, waaaaay too much space and cut so there is constantly cold air billowing up from below. I'm 5'10", 230 lbs, muscular with broad shoulders. In the past, XL was a perfect fit...since now they want to accommodate large bellies in XL I can no longer support the brand. The sizing is absolutely absurd. Prior to this, I tried on the Veilance Monitor and had every intention of purchasing...nope. I was as i I was wearing a trash bag. Huge, billowing fit. You've pushed away your core audience and have made a huge mistake.

The coldest weather hasn’t arrived yet, but I have worn this parka when the temps were in the 30’s, and when we had a cold rain a couple of days ago. So far, I am quite pleased. Impressive water repelling. Toasty warm. Good protection from the wind. Nice fit. My wife like the way it looks. 😁. I personally don’t understand other reviews that complain about the logo….seems like a trivial matter, and definitely not the kind of thing that warrants a lower rating. It is actually kind of interesting, and better than many labels that clearly declare the name of the manufacturer. Oh, well. To each his or her own

Comfortable, warm, waterproof. Great winter jacket. Absolutely fantastic. Only annoyance is zipper is hard to connect but I am getting better at it. Also wish there was an inside right pocket for phone. I bought a size down and it fits well. Coats breaths wonderfully and insulation is effective. Hood is comfortable too. Very warm.

Got this jacket as a gift and I love it. I am 6’3 190lbs and the large fits me well (tried the medium because so many people said size down but not the case for me). The few days that it got below freezing in MN so far I have used it and it’s kept me surprising warm for how light it is. Not sure why so many people decided to leave bad reviews over little things. Giving this a 1 star because they moved the logo from the sleeve to the chest is ridiculous.

The jacket itself is great. Good balance of warmth, looking professional (will use it for commuting to Manhattan), lightweight, waterproof and comfortable. It gets dinged a star because sizing is completely off. It’s cut way too big. I normally wear a large but had to go down to medium.

The oversized, high-contrast logos on the hood and chest are distracting. They should be smaller and tonal to match the color of the jacket, keeping the focus on function rather than branding.
