Bring Back The Old School!

This is probably the worst version of my favorite vest ever. Not only did they make they get rid of the ripstop face material, new later is extremely fragile and prone to abrasions wear. My friends new vest has a wear line from just a seat belt!! No chest pocket, and less fleece on the side panel due to the octa shenanigans means more heat escaping. Basically paying more money for less material in all the ways. And don’t even get me started on the sizing. I used to be a small, now it’s way too small, and a medium is just too big. Arcteryx’s new corporate vision is slowly losing this loyal customer. Bring back the rad brand I fell in love with!

This Will Be Your Favorite Vest

The Atom Vest is a perfect vest. Why? Because it's light enough to wear on those in-between weather days, and warm enough to keep you in good shape when the temperature really drops. It's sleek and snug and just does the job.

Whoever Redesigned This - Obviously Not Wearing It

Bought the "updated" version and assumed the updates listed were a complete list of updates. As it turns out they left the fact that the breast pocket was removed out of the listed updates. I have been wearing a version of this vest for some time and not having a secure place to place a receipt or a ticket is a reason for my return. Yes i own a wallet and have optional pockets but not wanting to.- nor willing to pay the same for fewer features. Its a gimmick to have even reused the name as its no closer to the previous version than any other of your vests.

The Perfect Vest

This is the perfect vest. It keeps me warm on a cold morning and is light enough to keep me comfortable when the day is milder. I bought a large, and it's a little big on me, but the fit works well enough.

Slightly Less Than Perfect But Still Great 🤞

The Atom Vest is a true essential for me, and this will be my fourth one. It’s never to hot, is breathable during activity, and is versatile for both trail and town. I was also pleased with the new Forage color, but do wish black sapphire would return. First impressions of fit and finish are good. The new fabric feels a little thinner, and even the insulation feels a little thin; almost like nothing there in some spots, but I still have confidence this revision will still perform well. My one biggest complaint is the loss of the interior chest pocket.
