Terrible Changes

I tried these on at Fleet Feet and instantly hated the shoe. I have never had such an immediate dislike for a shoe. I have been running in Altra Escalante for 6 years and also Torin 7’s since they came out. I have a narrow foot yet the shoe seemed tight. The toe bed was so small and uncomfortable I can’t imagine running in them. It was terrible. I couldn’t get them off quick enough. The laces are very short which would definitely be a problem. Why such short laces for a running shoe? I also don’t understand making the bottom with so much grip. I feel that is not conducive to running or any kind of speed. The only thing I liked was the material of the upper. This update is a fail and I am lost on what to replace my Torin 7’s with. Altra needs to go back to the drawing board on these. I normally don’t write reviews but I did this so hopefully Altra listens to their customers.

Wide Toe Box Where??

I have been wearing pretty much exclusively Altra since I started running 4 years ago then they became my daily shoe and my most recent purchases of all Altra's have felt like the all of the toe boxes have become so narrow. This was especially true with the Torin 9. I'm so sad! Please Please bring back the old design!!!

Size Is Not Like Any Other Altra I Wear

I was anticipating the 9 for the longest time. I loved the 7, tolerate the differences in the 8, however I cannot wear the 9. The toe bed is very narrow and the shape is off along with the entire sizing. Not a fan of the heal. One of the things I love about the Torin and Paradigm is the sunken, secure feeling the shape of the shoe, especially the heal offers. Seems to be reduced with every new version. The purple lace shoe is the 9 ☹️.

Sadly Runs Smaller And Tighter Than Torin 8

Was so excited to get these and they are not like the Torin 8 at all! The toe box is not as wide, it is much snugger in the midfoot and it's shorter so my toes don't have as much room. I don't know why they change these so significantly but they are not like the Torin 8. Huge disappointment, returning them and going back to the 8's.

What Happened To Zero Drop With Healthy Feet

I’m so disappointed that we’re beginning to look like Hoka shoes versus a healthy foot design. These just caused plantar fasciitis and foot deterioration.
