Exceptional Trail Comfort And Control

The Altra Timp has completely transformed my trail runs. The zero-drop platform paired with Altra’s foot-shaped toe box gives my toes plenty of space to splay naturally, which makes a massive difference on uneven terrain. Beyond the roominess, the cushion delivers a fantastic balance of soft comfort and responsive bounce, so every stride feels smooth and energetic. The traction and lock-down fit provide complete control on singletracks and technical descents. If you want a comfortable, wide trail shoe that handles whatever you throw at it, the Timp is a clear winner.

Fantastic Fit And Outsole But Heal Lining Failed.

Got these shoes at the beginning of the year and have absolutely loved them. They have a huge toe box, just the right amount of cushion, and extremely durable outsoles. I use them for trail running and hiking and have put about 150 miles on them. My biggest complaint is that the heel has completely worn through and is now rubbing against my heel, causing blisters. I’m pretty disappointed that the rest of the shoe has held up so well, but the heel is already worn out after only 150 miles.

No Problems.

Don't know about all the negative reviews. I don't know if it's a quality control thing that is missed, a preference in a shoe, or a technique when running; but these shoes have been great with no problems.

Follow-up On Ankle Buster Review

Since I can't append the prior review, here are photos taken on a perfectly level surface of the heel design issue causing the pronation/sprained ankles. These are still essentially new, so clearly more of a design or manufacturing issue than a wear or user issue.

Awesome Shoes!

Awesome shoes! Love the timp series, but wish this edition came in bright loud colors like the Timp 5.
