I've Been Using For A

I've been using for a few weeks now as a walking and gym shoe. I really like the generous toe box as I sort of have Fred Flintstone feet. They are comfortable with a wide sole providing good lateral stability. I cannot give input on them as a running shoe but they work well for my needs. The flex mesh upper on these is much more stable and provides a more secure feel than the pair of NB that I had purchased and returned. These seem to be a quality made, comfortable shoe. My only concern at this point is the longevity of the tread as it seems minimal compared to the Asics I usually get.

Great Shoe With Plenty Of

Great shoe with plenty of cushion. The open toe box has become a must in my runners.

Never Again

Less than a month of use on these shoes and the sole has significantly separated from the toe box. I've known from personal experience that Altra's quality has gone downhill, but I figured I would give them one more chance with an Expertvoice discount. Money wasted. I cannot recommend this brand. I will be purchasing other brands in the future and warning others of the many times Altra shoes have fallen short. Buyer beware.

Comfortable Shoe

Finally reached the age where comfort trumps style. Swamp a pair of Jordans for these Altra FWD VIA to teaching all day, and boy are my feet happy! Extremely comfortable!

Good Fit, Bad Sole

I love the fit of Altra’s wide toebox but the foam is hard as a rock. For a max cushion super critically foamed midsole there is no comfort in running in these.

Comfortable Shoes

I bought these shoes a few weeks ago. I like the shoes. They are roomy for your toes. They look dressy in all black, so I can wear them almost anywhere. What kept this from being a 5 star is I think they wear out fast - I am on my feet a lot.
