Learn More About Ski & Snowboard Jackets at Public Lands

Enjoy the Slopes in the Perfect Ski and Snowboard Jacket

The world is full of winter jackets, but snowboard and ski jackets are something special. Unlike regular winter jackets, which can be as fluffy as you please, ski and snowboard jackets need to be aerodynamic. There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a ski and snowboard jacket from Public Lands.

Weather Resistance

  • Waterproof ski jackets will keep you warm even if your surroundings are wet.
  • Windproof ski jackets are often ideal. Even on days with still air, you'll move quickly as you head downhill. The last thing you want is for the air to go straight through your jacket and freeze you!
  • You can choose your ski jacket's level of insulation. If you go for less insulation, you might want to use the jacket as an outer layer with more insulated baselayers underneath. With more insulation, you might not have to worry as much about inner layers, though.

Features

Ski and snowboard jackets can offer a variety of helpful features.

3-in-1 jackets have both outer shells and inner jackets. You can keep them together for extra warmth and insulation, take off the outer shell, or remove the inner shell: It's like having three different jackets!

Coats with vents are handy if you expect to get sweaty while zipping around on the snow. They'll keep you warm, but they won't hold in excess heat.

Hit the slopes with ski jackets and snowboard jackets from top brands like Helly Hansen, Mountain Hardwear, The North Face and more.

Once you’ve chosen the perfect jacket, check out the skis and snowboards from Public Lands before you fly down the slopes.
